Main Areas of Responsibility
Provide in the moment oversight of OES Specialists; monitor high risk interactions, offer support to OES Specialists during interactions, take over high risk interactions (as deemed appropriate), provide first line consultation to OES team.
Provide feedback into OES Specialists’ performance reviews, in coordination with the OES Supervisor.
Participate in quality assurance activities to promote high quality services.
Assist in training and supporting new team members.
Receive incoming electronic messages from clients, families, law enforcement, community helpers.
Provide safety assessments, support and problem solving around identified concerns.
Counsel, negotiate, mediate and intervene with callers to defuse crisis intensity and prevent self-harm or harm to others.
Determine and recommend and deliver appropriate crisis interventions.
Provide information and referrals to available community programs, as may be indicated.
Initiate follow-up communication to check on client welfare and encourage service linkage.
Maintain accurate and current records; maintain their security.
