Cheri Skelding
Vice President of Clinical Operations
Cheri Skelding, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) is the Vice President of Clinical Operations for RMCP.
Cheri earned a Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver in 2000 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bowling Green State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Cheri has a wide range of clinical experience and has worked in various settings. For five years, Cheri was a team leader at Aurora Mental Health Center on the emergency services team and also supervised the after-hours clinical team. Prior to that experience, she was a triage specialist, supervisor, and Director of Clinical Operations for EAP International, a for-profit international behavioral health EAP and crisis call center.
She has worked with children, adults and families and has provided consultation to employers of people who have mental health or substance abuse issues. She has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings and has also worked as a victim’s advocate and as an emergency psychiatric evaluator in the community mental health setting. She is an active member of Aurora Public Schools Safety Committee and has been trained as a Crisis Response Trainer through NOVA, National Organization for Victims Assistance, for that team. She also has served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross’ Mental Health Disaster Team.
Cheri joined RMCP (Metro Crisis Services) as its Clinical Director in April of 2010 and maintains a strong role in the continued improvement of current clinical operations, as well as quality assurance and expansion of RMCP’s services.
